Airam Electric Oy Ab is looking for an International Sales Assistant to support our international growth.
Airam is a Finnish family owned lighting company with a successful history since 1921. Our core business is an extensive range of lighting products and light sources. The core range is also supported by a strong portfolio of traditional Airam products such as leisure products and electrical accessories. Our head office and logistic center are situated in Kerava, just north of Helsinki. We have our own subsidiary in Sweden and a network of partners throughout the Nordics and in Europe.
In order to support our intentional growth, we are now looking to expand our intentional team in Kerava with a customer-oriented Sales Assistant. In this role you will support our Swedish sales team, the export sales team and our partners in the Nordics and Europe. The role requires active and daily support of existing distributors, and assuring a high service level and on time deliveries, is an essential part of your responsibilities.

Order Entry– Process International and Region orders (Customers and partners in Europe), communicate with customer regarding, products, orders, backorders, and provide regular feedback and updated documentation regarding shipments. Works closely with various functions in Kerava to ensure all required International and export compliance requirements are met before processing customer orders.
Communication – You will be responsible for substantial communications involving internal and external stakeholders. You and your colleagues use prior experience, problem solving- and analytical skills to help ensure all export orders and claims are processed on time and accurately.
Documentation – Provide accurate, valid and complete customer documentation such as Order Acknowledgements, Commercial Invoices, Datasheets and quotations etc.
Problem Solving and Investigation – Required to track shipments and research and resolve any issues regarding shipping discrepancies. Execute excellent customer service by handling customer issues in a professional manner and offer solutions. Demonstrate the ability to multitask and be able to maintain a high level of professionalism at all times. Engaging customers by ensuring their issues will be resolved as complete and quickly as possible. Working closely with Product Management team, supply chain, sales team and customers to ensure orders and shipments are processed accurately and on time.
Projects – assignment to support other departments with process improvements as assigned by managers, i.e. procedures, processes, export literature, marketing initiatives, exhibition planning etc.
Continuous Learning – stay up-to-date on lighting technology, products, procedures, tools, and system.
Mentor Others – share expertise and provide mentorship to persons new to knowledge areas.
High School Degree or Equivalent is required.
Minimum 3 years work experience in a Customer Service, sales or related field is required. Knowledge of business-to-business Customer Service and International Order Processing is preferred.
ERP system (DIGIA) knowledge is a plus. Good skills in Microsoft office Fluent in Swedish and English written and oral is a must. Other language skills are a plus.
Strong general communication skills and international mind set.
Passion for sharing of accurate information to other functions, colleagues, partners and managers, both at local and international sites.
Excellent verbal communication skills, including phone etiquette.
No current attendance or performance issues.
Must be a team player very responsive to internal and external customer requests
Flexibility to work department hours of operation High level of technical understanding and ability to learn fast.
Knowledge of the lighting industry is a plus.
