Kukkala decorated a patio using autumnal colors and decorative pumpkin lanterns made by Airam. The Kukkala blog is published by Sanna Rasku, who writes about such topics as using flowers and plants for decorating both inside and out.
We spend less time on the patio than in the summer, but I still like to dress it up to look nice. As the patio can be seen directly from the kitchen and living room windows, I prefer to look at a beautiful space rather than a storage area (which the patio does occasionally resemble!). This time I used the patio table to create a focal point for the space.
I gathered up some bottles in varying sizes and placed them on the table. Into the bottles, I inserted dried flowers and hay as well as small twigs with berries and some eucalyptus. The colors of the ensemble are mostly shades of brown with a hint of gray and red. Keeping an eye on the upcoming Halloween theme, I added three silver pumpkins made by Airam on the table. They are a perfect addition to the table and provide a light that is unbelievably gorgeous.
These plastic pumpkins are intended for indoor use, so you must not place them outside in the rain. They are battery-operated with a six-hour timer. This means that they shut off automatically six hours after having been switched on and will come on again after 18 hours. Of course, you can use the on/off switch if you wish to specify the usage yourself.
Now that the patio is all nice again, I would really like to set the table for a Halloween-themed dinner. After darkness falls, the pumpkins shine with soft light. How have you prepared for Halloween? At our house, the pumpkins were immediately reserved for Halloween-hijinks by the children, so they really seem to be in demand this year.
