The multipurpose nature of lounges sets many requirements for lighting. A basic level of light can be created with general lighting that complements natural light, that is to say the lighting should be variable. 

Good lighting in living spaces happens, when a room gets an adequate amount of light for its purpose with suitable luminaires and bulbs and dimmers that are compatible with the luminaires.
