Airam is launching a range of K2 luminaires designed by Tapio Wirkkala in a fresh new combination of colours. With the K2 luminaire, light is an aesthetic experience: the beautiful shape of the bulb can be clearly seen inside the clear glass lampshade.
The crystal bulb designed by Tapio Wirkkala in 1968 was inspired by the vivacity of the nature in Lapland, the melting ice and flowing water. The design classic is once again available, now produced as an LED version.
A bold builder will disobey traditional lighting guidelines and create lighting for a house entrance using led strips. The entrance, more than any other area, creates an impression of the house and its residents.
Airam presents the new production of Tapio Wirkkala design. Wir-85 lamp and three luminaries from the original range have been selected for production. These included various coloured glass lampshade fittings to emphasize the shape and pleasant light of the bulb and to add variety to its simple elegance.
The installation of the Lumi-luminaire is easy for a professional. The led light sources in the luminaire are placed in a circle to leave plenty of space for the installation. The dome has a bayonet attachment.
