At The Stockholm Furniture Fair & Northern Lighting Fair, Airam’s stand C21:31, you’ll get to see the best bits of the fair: the beloved crystal bulbs and K2 luminaires designed by Tapio Wirkkala, now in LED versions. We are presenting not only design classics, but also the latest favourites in lighting for homes and common courtyards.
What might be popular at this year’s Stockholm design fair? At last year’s fair, on the furniture side we saw many restrained, broken shades of colour, mirrors, wood and marble. Imposing shapes returned to sofas and armchairs, with soft velvet and leather surfaces.
In interior lighting trends, this year we’ll see the geometric forms of the 1960s and art deco design, in which a simple shape and quality light create a soft contrast between the light and shadows.
In 1959, the WIR lamp by Tapio Wirkkala transformed lighting design. Airam previously brought to the market the colourful K2 luminaires with LED bulbs. With all K2 luminaires, light is always an aesthetic experience: the beautiful shape of the bulb can be clearly seen inside the coloured or clear glass lampshade. Now we are introducing beautiful K2 luminaires in fresh colour combinations of clear glass and silver.
Back in 1968, Wirkkala’s crystal bulb drew its inspiration from the vitality of Nordic nature: from melting ice and flowing water. Now this 50-year-old design classic is in production in an LED version.
Wall luminaires in tune with the architecture provide the finishing touch to the look of a house and provide security during the dark seasons. Select from our modern and traditional range of models. You can create a harmonious effect for your garden, by combining bollard and column luminaires from the same series.
Garden lighting design is an important part of a finished look, but creating it does not need to be expensive or difficult. Here you’ll see how to do it with the extendible Easy Connect series of luminaires. This will suit you if you want to create something quickly, without the need for digging machines and electricians.
The luminaires in the architectural Boluce range are suitable for the lighting of both private residences and public buildings. With the fixed LED solutions of the Boluche range, you can build high-class, durable and energy-efficient lighting.
We have accepted with pleasure the changes brought by LED technology, which enables a new kind of innovation without compromising on quality. In the home, light and lighting continue to play a key role. In addition to functional design, ease of installation and increasingly highly developed LED technology have risen to a high position on the scale of value.
