Airam is one of the official partners of Finland 100-project. The national theme of the festive year is together. Accordingly, the year is built and spend as a collaboration of finns and the friends of Finland. In the celebration year Airam brings joy with light into the every day life of Finnish people. Airam redeems this promise among other things by giving concrete donations of products. A new refuge home was founded in Toukola, Helsinki in the beginning of the year 2017. The refuge home of Toukola is one of the places where Airam donated luminaires as apart of the Finland 100-project.
Turvakoti offers help
Pääkaupungin Turvakoti ry is a non profit, nongovermental organization with the purpose to remind that life without violence is a part of human rights. The organization offers short time refuge for people who have encountered abuse in their close relationship and when staying at home feels difficult or is dangerous due to violence, threatening or fear. The facilities have a room for each customer family or a single customer. Other facilities are in common use for all the residents.
Led- luminaires for living facilities in-and outdoors
For the general ligthing of the rooms Lumi 6W led- luminaires were chosen for the ceiling, and 18W Lumi-Plafond luminaires were chosen for the hallways. For the residential rooms cosy, retro inspired Perla reading luminaires were installed, wich have a ligthing bulb that can be diverted. As a general luminaire, 14W Vanamo- luminaires were installed for the toilet facilities and shower space.
The lounge areas were decorated to be cozy with fresh furniture and textiles. Cozy Cottex New Haven-pendant luminaires were picked to illuminate the common dining area, and to add more general illumination, modern Plateia UQY-luminaires were installed into the lower ceiling system by wire suspension. Work spaces of the kitchen are illuminated with with the extendable Fino led-luminaire series. Fino led-luminaire series is easy to attach to furniture by connecting them to each other using a patch cable or an angular connector.
The yard area is illuminated by Cestus-luminaires in the outer cote of the building. Almost all the luminaires chosen have a solid led or a replaceable led as a source of ligh., so they will not require a lot of energy.
