When the Autotalo office facilities situated at Kamppi in Helsinki were renovated, the general lighting was modernised to meet the requirements of today. A solution was found from Airam’s Plateia Tech Q range.
Autotalo, a building situated at Kamppi in Helsinki and built in 1958 comprises two 12-storey tower blocks. These days, despite its name, Autotalo is no longer a car dealership. At street level, there are restaurants and shops and, on the upper floors, mainly offices, some of which were renovated.
At the same time, the general lighting in the offices was modernised to meet the requirements of today. A solution was found from Airam’s Plateia Tech Q range.
In Building 3A2, office luminaires from the low-profiled Plateia Q Tech range were chosen for the general lighting. The very low (11 mm) PLATEIA UQY STANDARD IP40 50W/840 VA DA luminaire is available in a square shape (60×60 cm) for installation in modular ceilings and also as a rectangular model (120×30 cm).
In wire suspension, the panel luminaire provides not only powerful downlighting but also indirect light reflected up through the ceiling, which creates a feeling of additional space. DALI controls also give the possibility to adjust the amount of light to suit the need.
Plateia Tech Q luminaires are equally suitable for office and shop lighting. In offices, even and powerful LED lighting saves stress on the eyes and, in meetings facilities, the possibility to adjust the lighting is important, for example, when the use of audiovisual technology requires the lighting to be dimmed.
