We updated the lighting of Marks & Spencer stores in Tampere and Porvoo. The stores opted for embeddable and directable Oslo luminaires from Airam’s selection to their stylish premises.
Marks & Spencer is a well-known company offering high quality fashion, award-winning food and classy home products. M&S was founded more than a hundred years ago. Nowadays Marks & Spencer have over a thousand stores in more than 45 countries, and are one of the leading retail store chains in the UK.
In Finland, Marks & Spencer was looking to update the lighting in their Tampere and Porvoo stores. Embeddable and directable spotlights were preferred. Airam’s Oslo luminaire line was chosen, as it offered a solution to the lighting needs of both premises. The embeddable Oslo luminaire series is available in 1 to 3 parts with efficient LED module or in 2 or 4 parts with metal-halide lamp. The luminaire is available as both black and white, and Marks & Spencer chose the white spotlights in 1 and 2 parts.
Oslo has a 45,000-hour fixed LED light source with a colour temperature of 3,000 K.
Marks & Spencer has a very specific concept: high-quality products, services, innovation and trust are values that can be seen in all M&S operations. Naturally, the lighting plan and luminaires had to be approved by M&S as well. All the parties, the lighting designer, the installers, the store personnel and the customers have all been satisfied with the improved store look and the spotless result.
