Energy efficiency was emphasised in the Huhtasuo School Centre building project in Jyväskylä. The quality of buildings and premises should remain stable and high throughout the entire life cycle. Airam’s Plateia luminaires are used in the hallways and classrooms.
A new construction comprising a primary and secondary school as well as a day-care centre was built in Huhtasuo, Jyväskylä during the years 2012 to 2015. The building complex offers modern premises and a learning environment for nearly a thousand children.
Building a school centre is a life cycle project where solutions and materials were considered already in the construction phase. The project aimed to build an energy-efficient school centre. The quality of buildings and premises will remain stable and high throughout the entire life cycle.
Airam’s Plateia was installed in the comprehensive school and sports hall at phase two of the project. Plateia is a module luminaire that enables lamp-specific control. In the classrooms, the lighting adapts to any intended use. In addition to efficient and controllable general lighting, the luminaires provide a rhythm to the space. Lamp-specific Dali control enables life cycle optimisation.
