Warranty Terms

Warranty for Professional Luminaires
For selected projects and professional luminaires, an extended five-year warranty may be available. Please refer to the list below for details on standard warranty coverage.

Warranty for Lamps
LED lamps are covered by a two-year (2-year) product warranty. The warranty covers replacement of a defective product with a new one, but does not include any labor or equipment costs related to installation or removal. The warranty is valid with a delivery note from the seller who supplied the product, indicating the delivery date. If such documentation is not available, the warranty period is determined based on the manufacturing date marked on the lamp, with an additional six-month (6-month) allowance for storage and transportation.

General Terms 

The warranty is valid against the seller's delivery note, provided that the installation has followed the installation methods, positions, and conditions specified in the installation instructions. Temperature limits, ignition cycles, and voltage values must not be exceeded. The warranty covers the product or the damaged part of the product. The warranty does not cover damages caused by incompatibility of the installation environment, such as incompatibility of the driver or motion sensors. The warranty is void if an external person repairs or modifies the product. The warranty does not cover damages caused by natural conditions such as water damage, lightning strikes, fire, or other exceptional phenomena. The warranty does not cover indirect damages.

Extended Warranty 

In addition to the warranties mentioned above, a project-specific extended warranty is available for specially defined projects. The condition for this warranty is that the warranty for the project has been agreed upon in advance with Airam's sales team and that Airam has approved the special warranty terms in writing before the order. The extended warranty can also be mentioned as an additional line in the offer.

Product Warranty, 5 years

If an Airam Professional luminaire has a five-year (5 years) product warranty, this is also mentioned in the technical specifications of the respective product. See the separate attachment for Airam's product group-specific listing.

The Consumer Guarantees

Airam is responsible for all defects in products that it sells to consumers based on the Consumer Protection Act. The regulations are applicable to the sale of a consumer product when the seller is a business and the buyer a consumer. In addition to this, Airam grants an additional guarantee for certain products such as LED bulbs, most electrical supplies and steel thermos flasks.

  • LED bulbs, guarantee three years
  • Electrical supplies, guarantee three years
  • Steel thermos flasks, guarantee ten years for materials.

If you notice a defect when buying a product, you can either exchange it for something similar or return it to the place of purchase against a receipt.
